In answer to: why did you list my house at 7000w 180st stilwell kansas 66085 for $305,000? the appraisal value is $524,000. We just spent over 50,000 in updates

David, the Johnson County Appraisal, which many sites use for their record search has the property at $382,400. Wherever this site took it's information from, it had you lower. Homes dot com does not do independent valuation. You can certainly ask them to remove your property, but as long as it's for sale, sites like this one or Yahoo real estate will use public records to try to assign a value to it. Your Yahoo listing shows a tax valuation from 2010 of $331,500, and your asking price of $440,000. Good luck with your sale.

HI, Susan, if your home was listed with a Realtor, when you signed the listing agreement, there is a paragraph about the Internet Data Exchange Database. This allows the members of the MLS to share the information, and gives permission to participants to show certain property information. You can opt out of IDX, but your home, if it is for sale, will benefit from the most exposure that you can get. If your home is listed, and you do not want to have it show up on this site, and others like it, contact your realtor and let them know that you would like to opt out of IDX. If it is not listed, then you should address the sites like Homes dot com directly. Hope this helps. TH

Who Thomas Is
Thomas was born, raised and educated in New England. His family lived in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Maine. He still returns to visit his parents in Maine whenever he can.
In spite of his New England background, Thomas roots in Lawrence are strong. He has lived and worked here since 1978. Two of his sisters live here, and his wife, Kate Dinneen, grew up in Lawrence.
Thomas has been in sales all of his adult life, and has received great satisfaction from matching the needs of his clients with the available products and services.
