In answer to: how much have house prices fallen in the last year?

It really depends on where you are asking? What part of the united states? Every area has different levels. I am now seeing and feeling we hit the bottom and are now climbing out of the bottom in my area in Maryland.

In answer to: Do anyone except section 8 vouchers?

Real Estate agents do not accept section 8 vouchers. Home owners/Landlords are the ones who will or will not. I have assisted several in finding homes and owners who would accept section 8 vouchers.

As agents we do not accept them , however I have a few clients I help find rentals where landlords will accept them.

I think it is the best time ever to buy. Rates are at an all time low. Prices are the lowest they've been in years. Inventory is enormous, which allows you to be selective. Don't wait till you end up in a bidding war when there are only a few homes in your search area or criteria.
