Homeowner's association dues will typically relate to maintaining the community such as the pool and common areas. Some HOAs will maintain the exterior of the buildings--which we usually see in townhome and condo associations. Some HOAs association dues cover water, sewer, trash, and power. Since each one is different, this will be something that you and your Realtor will investigate during the home search and inspection period on the home. Do you have a Realtor that you are working with?
