Hi Frances--there are different loan programs available for scores as low as 580. The best thing for you to do is contact a mortgage professional and see where you stand. They can advise you on any credit issues you may have etc. As some of the other agents have also said, maybe it's not as bad as you think. :) V

In answer to: I would like to look for homes that are in foreclosure
Hi Jelescia- The process for purchasing a foreclosure is very much like the process for purchasing any home with a few exceptions. Foreclosures are sold as is--you are able to have an inspection performed, however any repairs needed can not be negotiated as part of the sale of the home. That's going to be one of the main differences. There are lots of foreclosure programs in Houston, and it is important to have an agent that knows how to work them.
