May I suggest that you look to a real estate professional that is willing to provide you information directly from MLS so you get information that is easy to track. Some will even share with you addresses on a daily basis. Additionally, if you are a serious home buyer you'll find professional real estate agents will bring more value to the closing table than they take away. This value will likely translate into dollars and sense for you the buyer. I suggest finding an agent that is a good fit and personally, I prefer the ones that aren't too pushy or seemingly in a big rush to get to the next transaction.

Also, I suggest you consider all options and not just VA loan option. Your best source to answer this question is to ask for the past 12 month usage bills for the home you are considering living in. This way factors such as insulation, thermal properties of windows and doors and other variables will be reflected in the bills. One factor that isn't incorporated will be personal preferences. You may find agents willing to provide information to you about the home buying process completely free of charge. Don't feel obligated to the first agent you contact because they may not be the right fit for you.
