Bathroom Renovation Begins

As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m thinking New Year, new project which is exciting because I can’t wait to get this ugly bathroom out of my house! Below are a few ‘before’ photos to show you what we’ve been working with for the last two years.

We embarked on this journey with the idea that we wanted to change the bathroom but without any thoughts on how. Did we want to gut the whole thing and start fresh, or did we want to do minor work? We established a modest budget of $5,000 and decided to use that to the max. After all, I don’t want to look back at this project with regrets! So we went to a specialty tile store to look at our options. The selection we had to choose from was amazing! We had dozens of ceramic tile, travertine, slate, etc. for flooring options, plus more for wall tile. We saw a display of a bathroom that we liked and decided to use that as inspiration for our renovation.

I’m excited to get this project off the ground. Now that we have the tile decided, we need to decide on the fixtures, vanity and of course, LABOR! More to come on that soon…
