As a historically multicultural community, Astoria provides a rich heritage displayed throughout the area with its offerings of cuisine, shopping, and local markets. Locals enjoy the Bohemian Beer Hall and Garden, great Greek and many other restaurants, and the beautiful Astoria Park on the banks of the river. The area has a long history of being involved in the arts, and cinema in particular, and is the location of one of the best museums in New York City, the American Museum of the Moving Image. Served by the trains of the New York City subway, the access to transportation makes it easy for commuting.

In the northwestern corner of the New York City borough of Queens, Astoria is bordered by the East River and is only about 15 minutes from Midtown Manhattan. It is one of the best neighborhoods in Queens with much lower prices for real estate for a comparable apartment. A large selection of condos, townhomes and apartments are the main home types offered in the area, and they range from a one-bedroom studio up to expansive multi-family units.
