Downtown Conway has two main districts, East Conway and West Conway, divided along Donaghey Avenue. They are both historic districts, containing some of the oldest and most interesting architecture in the city. Here you'll find the Asa P. Robinson neighborhood, named for the city's founder, and the Hendrix Addition. Old southern mansions and high-rise apartments share these charming urban spaces, along with restaurants, shops, and galleries, all within walking distance of each other. Or you may want to cycle, as the League of American Bicyclists named Conway a "Bicycle Friendly Community" in 2011. Since 2000, Conway has invested millions of dollars in revitalizing its downtown, creating prime business and office space in addition to fine retail shops and trendy restaurants. This has earned Conway awards like being one of "40 Strongest Metro Economies" from Bloomberg Businessweek in 2012 and "14th Best City for Young Professionals" from Forbes Magazine in 2011.
