Glendora's city motto is "pride of the foothills," This pride can be attributed to the numerous affluent neighborhoods including Bluebird Hill, Oak Tree Rancho, Oakhart Estates, Morgan Ranch, Silent Ranch, Gordon Highlands, Easley Canyon Estates, and Hidden Springs. Glendora also has its own country club; however, membership is invitation only. There is also an abundance of parks throughout the city. There are several things to do at these parks, and one actually hosts the Camp Cahuilla Summer Kids' Day Camp. This camp lasts eight weeks during the summer and it attracts over 500 kids yearly. In addition to the recreation in the city, Glendora is home to many businesses. Top employers include Wal-Mart, County of Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services, Ormco, and the Home Depot.
