Goodyear used to be known primarily for its affordability but with new growth it has evolved into a relaxed but refined enclave that is now enjoyed by young and old alike. The city rates high in livability polls and has even won awards. There are many activities to enjoy without heading into metro Phoenix. Arts and cultural events include the unique Ballet Under the Stars, the Art of Cultures Expo and many art shows and installments. The 10,300 seat Goodyear Ballpark is the spring training home to the Reds and the Indians. The area offers 175 acres of well-maintained parks. The city places high priority on education and boasts several high performance public K-12 schools and a campus for the Franklin Pierce University. It is also in negotiation for a future Arizona State University campus.

Goodyear, AZ is a refined, comfortable city of 61,500 located southwest of downtown Phoenix. It is the sixth-fastest growing city in the US. Real estate in the area is relatively affordable but Goodyear saw its home prices increase last year. The entire West Valley is metro Phoenix's fastest-growing region and is adding roads, popular communities and jobs. Homes here mirror those in Scottsdale but are cheaper.
