An unincorporated community in Lee County, Lehigh Acres was first developed in the mid-1950s on land that was once the Lucky Lee Ranch. Today, the community stretches 95 square miles and is part of the Cape Coral-Fort Meyers metro area. With 175 miles of canals and more than a dozen stocked lakes, Lehigh Acres has some excellent fishing opportunities for novice and seasoned anglers alike. With several championship golf courses in the community, Lehigh Acres is a popular destination for people who play the sport. Lehigh Acres Trailhead Park includes a multi-use trail surrounding a 3-acre replicated prairie, along with an outdoor fitness area and picnic pavilions. The 95-acre Veterans Community Park includes off-leash areas for dogs, a skateboard course, playground, water feature and sports facilities.
