On the Gulf Coast of Florida lies one of the well-known and affluent cities in the United States, Naples, which has the sixth highest per capita income in the nation. While there are, as expected, an abundance of luxurious and mansion-like homes to be found in Naples that leave nothing to be desired, new home buyers also have the option to invest more modestly in one or two-story homes that still have all the elegance and charm that Naples is known for.

Throughout the city, several points of interest distinguish the various districts and communities. The Bayshore Arts District is home to well-endowed galleries and art and architectural features, while the Naples Preserve and Freedom Park offer nearby residents plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy. Areas like Aqualane Shores Neighborhood extend their reach east to the Bay of Naples and west to the Gulf Coast. Many canals and waterfront home areas add distinction and diversity to the area of south Naples, where most homeowners have easy access to the Gulf of Mexico. Bounded by 10 miles of pristine, white-sanded beaches on the west coast, Naples has plenty of recreational opportunities for its residents and visitors alike, including more than 80 golf courses, enough to earn it the title of the 'Golf Capital of the World'.
Not surprisingly, the economy of Naples is currently based largely on the booming tourism industry, since it boasts some of the highest rated beaches in the world as well as access to the Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands. However, historically, the economy relied on real estate and agricultural development, some of which still plays a role. Naples is host to a number of non-profit organizations, in addition to numerous small businesses and private companies. The top employers are the District School Board of Collier County, the NCH Healthcare System, and Collier County itself, including the sheriff's office.
