Ogden, Utah is located just 40 miles north of Salt Lake City and 10 miles east of the salty Great Salt Lake. Originally called Junction city, it was the main stopover at the now remodeled Union Station for military men and women at the famous and lawless 25th Street. In the last 30 or so years, revitalization of 25th Street now offers fine dining, shopping and entertainment in the original old buildings. Farmers markets are held Saturday mornings during the summer and offer a nice walking experience in the old section of town.
