The biggest park in town is the 322 acre Northwest Regional Park on the western edge of Owings Mills, which now offers a variety of recreational facilities such as baseball on the park's four ball diamonds and lighted artificial turf and athletic fields for soccer or football. Residents can enjoy picnics and parties at the park's three pavilions, run or bike on stroller-friendly paths or wooded trails, and kids love the playground. Wheelchair-accessible community gardens are also in the works. The wooded west side of the park is natural and features a stream and greenway.
