Cultural activities and sights abound. The Rockford Art Museum displays over 1,900 works of art. The Discovery Center Museum is awesome for kids. People of all ages can learn about nature at the Burpee Museum of Natural History, or see the unique history of the area at the Midway Village and Museum Center, a living museum with exhibits and a pioneer village. There is a theatre, a dance company, symphony, chamber music group, outdoor concerts and two big show venues.
