Looking for something fun to do in St. Louie? You'll have no trouble finding it. Start your day with a ride to the top of the aforementioned Gateway Arch. It is the tallest monument in the western hemisphere, and the view from the top is said to be awe-inspiring. Once you've had your fill of flying high above the city, make your way to the Historic Aircraft Restoration Museum, where you'll see an impressive collection of vintage aircraft from the early years of aviation history. Next, head over to Forest Park. It's nearly 30% larger than New York's Central Park, and is breathtakingly beautiful. There, you'll find bike paths, baseball diamonds, boat rentals and when the weather's warm, fun events such as concerts and movies. Several local treasures are located within Forest Park, including the world-renowned St. Louis Zoo, the St. Louis Art Museum, the Science Center and Planetarium, and the Jewel Box, a stunning, Art Deco greenhouse that simply must be experienced firsthand. Regardless of your personal beliefs, the Cathedral Basilica in the Central West End is a must-see. This jaw-dropping Romanesque house of worship boasts one of the largest mosaics in the world. Though construction began in 1907, the mosaics weren't complete until 1988. Now that's dedication.
