Averill Park itself, from which the neighborhood got its name, is a beautiful destination and a popular venue for weddings. It is a large park with gentle, grassy hills and features a stream, waterfall and gazebo. The homes in this area are very desirable and many offer an ocean view. The South Shores neighborhood, just southwest of Averill Park, also provides wonderful views of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island and is one of the more sought-after areas of San Pedro. Vista del Oro, the heart of San Pedro, is a well-maintained neighborhood with beautiful architecture, including condominiums, apartments, single-family homes and good schools.
