Santa Cruz is called "Surf City" and is known for its blue skies and beautiful beaches. Its close proximity, not only to the beach, but to other areas of cultural, educational and economic interests make it an ideal place to settle. Many of the county's Mobile home communities are within the city of Santa Cruz, which is located right along the coast. The downtown area is full of entertainment and professional opportunities, is home to some of the county's most beautiful architecture and is extremely walkable. The west side of the city is a mix of eclectic neighborhoods and boutique shops, while the east is mostly peaceful housing communities. Capitola and Soquel are nearby cities, both with several manufactured home neighborhoods. Capitola is a coastal town, with beautiful beaches, great restaurants and several wineries and tasting rooms. Soquel is just to the north of Capitola, a bit more inland. It features older homes, beautiful parks and hidden vineyards.
