With a population of more than 20,000 people, Venice, Florida, is a smaller resort city located on the western side of the state on the Florida Gulf Coast. The city of Venice is a radiant hidden gem, as there are on average more than 200 sunny days per year. This city was established in the 1920s, and as a result much of its architecture is reflective of that time period. However, by no means is Venice some archaic city of the past, as modern amenities and buildings dot the lush landscape.

Many individuals who reside in Venice are "snowbirds," individuals that flock to the warm, sunny city in order to avoid the wintry weather in their home state, and they often end up buying second homes in the area. These snowbirds help contribute to the many retirement communities in the area. Aside from retirement communities, there are also a few master-planned communities in Venice that appeal to people of all ages, with vast tracts of open space, recreation areas, walking and biking trails, and customized homes. There are also beach condos, cutting-edge contemporary homes, established manses, and single-family homes in residential areas for prospective buyers to choose from.
