The water is a significant hike and Ive done it once when I was 48 and yesterday at 58. You walk down the bank from the home and walk the contours around two gentle ridge and then down into the river gorge. Once there it is enthralling in its power and beauty. There are swimming holes galore and a wonderful place to hike or picnic with family and friends. And dont discount the exercise of a mountain hike to the river and back before lunch!
