Typically, if you have your credit pulled by several lenders within 30 days of each other, it's treated as a "soft pull' and does not effect your credit like many think. When your credit starts to get negatively impacted is when, you open a consumer card, the apply for an auto loan and a mortgage within a few months of each other. Hope this helps
Ralph,
Did the mortgage company run your credit? If they did and no more then 4 other mortgage companies ran your credit in 30 days, you will not loose points.
Any time your credit is accessed, there can be a hit to your score. What you do not want to do is have several companies run your credit. Ask for quotes based on the information you give them if you are price shopping without having them run your credit. Good luck!
