That is definitely not hard to find. Just click the Local Pros blue button above and contact a Realtor in those cities who you feel you would be comfortable working with.

Hi, there are many "fixer uppers" listed in chesapeake and virginia beach, the best advice I can give is the good ones sell quickly, there has been more activity recently on lower priced homes. Your agent needs to be on top of the new listings so you can act quickly. I would love to help if you are looking for an agent, my last client who was looking for a great fixer upper in the $85,000 price range took a while to find the diamond but we did and it turned out to be a great house. Patience required as you have to look at a lot of bad ones til you find the perfect one.

It is a great time to buy. You can snag a fixer upper in Chesapeake & VA Beach for way below market price, invest some time and money renovating, and end up with a like-new house. Be sure to run the numbers and know the market of the neighborhood you are interested in. You should determine the market value of the home first then subtract any profit desired and repairs/expenses. Example market value of home $ 140,000 after repairs Example subtract profit desired $ 20,000 Example subtract repairs $ 20,000 Example selling expense $ 8,400 Maximum Property purchase price $ 91,600 Let me know if I can help. I have access to all fixer uppers listed within the MLS as well as a few others which are not yet listed. Thanks, Kathy Durbin, Exit Realty Central

I keep a current list of desirable fixer-upper opportunities in Chesapeake & Virginia Beach. Most of the properties I highlight are the best deals in the area and are under contract within days, not weeks or months. If you want to get the best return on your money, you must be ready to act when we've identified the right rehab project for you. Feel free to call me any time with questions or service requests. All the best, Joe McAvoy

Hello, There are different definitions to fixer upper. However, there are a lot of properties in the cities you indicated that are for sale. If you could email me back how much you want to spend and the type of repairs you want to make, I can send you a list. Thanks Tawni Walker, Realtor.

Hello Christine, If you are intersted in a fixer upper - you may need a special type of financing. We have a loan which allows you to borrow not only the purchase price of the property but also the cost to repair. If this sounds interesting please contact me.
