Hi, there are many "fixer uppers" listed in chesapeake and virginia beach, the best advice I can give is the good ones sell quickly, there has been more activity recently on lower priced homes. Your agent needs to be on top of the new listings so you can act quickly. I would love to help if you are looking for an agent, my last client who was looking for a great fixer upper in the $85,000 price range took a while to find the diamond but we did and it turned out to be a great house. Patience required as you have to look at a lot of bad ones til you find the perfect one.

It is a great time to buy. You can snag a fixer upper in Chesapeake & VA Beach for way below market price, invest some time and money renovating, and end up with a like-new house. Be sure to run the numbers and know the market of the neighborhood you are interested in. You should determine the market value of the home first then subtract any profit desired and repairs/expenses.
Example market value of home $ 140,000 after repairs
Example subtract profit desired $ 20,000
Example subtract repairs $ 20,000
Example selling expense $ 8,400
Maximum Property purchase price $ 91,600
