TRY LOOKING FOR A GOOD LOCAL AGENT THAT DEALS WITH BANK FORECLOSURES IN YOUR COUNTY. AGENTS WHO LOOK AT HOMEPATH AND HUD HOMES ARE THE BEST PLACE TO START.

Connect with a local agent in the area and they will assist you in getting information and maybe even emails of foreclosures. To the right of this page is some good agents to communicate with from that area. Good Luck.

Go to the county website where you are interested in looking for a home. They will usually have reference site for looking at foreclosed homes. Or you can call me at 317 354 3473 and I can help you find the foreclosed homes in my area.

Hi Brenda, GNIAR is our local mls in Northwest Indiana. Most agent's websites connect to the mls. A home bought at an auction or sheriff's sale may not have a clear title. A home sold through a real estate office that is bank owned or a HUD home will have a clear title to the best of their knowledge. It is free for you to work with a real estate agent as a buyer. You should find someone that you like and have them help you.

Best place to go is the local MLS website if they have one (here in Houston we have one but I don't know about Crown Point!). If not, best bet is to contact a local real estate agent that can set you up with a full list! WARNING: Do not fall for the "FORECLOSURE LIST" Scams you see on TV and hear on radio. They have other angles than to actually help you with what you are looking for. Yes, I have called to check them out and got a lot more hassle than what I was looking for in terms of their "partner vendors" and I found out that most of the lists were outdated by months, one even by years! Best bet, a good, honest agent that can help you.

Brenda, I like to look for an empty home and not narrow my searches on foreclosure homes. I would be glad to e-mail you some listings. Let me know.

Brenda: Homes that are "foreclosed upon" in Indiana are sold at their county sherriff auction. You can check each county for their sherriff auction list. You must have cash to purchase. Homes that remain "unsold" after action, are generally listed for sale with other homes in the MLS as a special property group known as "real estate owned" or "reo's" HUD foreclosure lists, are homes that are in the default process. Hope this provides a clearer understanding.

Feel free to drop me an email or give me a call. Just get me your specifics on type of home and price range and I can get you all short sale and foreclosure homes in Crown Point. Thank you! Jason Moon
