I think you will be very happy with the real estate prices in Texas. Prices have gone up gradually over the years versus a steep incline making home ownership hard to attain. Unless you are dead set on renting, you may be able to purchase a home in the 100K to 120K range. Those same homes in CA would be double if not triple in price, not to mention you get a little land with them. Welcome to Texas!!!

Katy Texas has some great rental homes available that accept dogs. A pet deposit is required, which is usually non-refundable. Contact any agent on this site for assistance.

I guess the first question would be -- what is the time frame for your move? A lot will depend on that. This needs to typically be not more than 45 days out. Send me an e-mail and what you are looking for in a house and a ballpark figure and I'll send you a list of those available.
