Regent's Park is a great place to retire. It's a small, friendly complex of mostly empty nesters. It has sidewalks & street lights, & a nice 3-acre nature preserve. Centrally located to all major routes, & just five minutes from downtown Lancaster. Open House is scheduled at 1819 Serene Way Sunday, February 12th, 1:00-3:00. Directions: Route 30, Greenfield Rd Exit South, Right on Old Phila Pike (#340), Left on Red Leaf, Right on Serene Way. Hope to see you there.
Lancaster County is a great place to retire. There are an ever-increasing number of cultural activities, theaters, art galleries and services in our county. Lancaster County real estate is also very reasonably priced, especially compared to the nearby metropolitan areas. Millersville, Lititz, Elizabethtown and Ephrata, among others, have nice places to live and are near educational & cultural centers.
I would suggest you consider Lititz, PA, north of Lancaster City. Lititz has a lot of unique shops and cafes on Main Street and has a quaint, small town feel.
I live in Lancaster and think the area around Richmond Square or Lititz is great. I would just stay out of Lancaster City, Columbia and probably Ephrata. Good Luck!
For the most part, Lancaster County as a whole, is a safe place to live. The county only has a few urban areas that would have highre crime incidents. Good luck looking, I'm sure your'll find the area a wonderfull place to retire to.
