I'm looking to rent a house in the west Phoenix or Glendale or Peoria area. I'm not really sure where to start to find an agent and I'm not sure how soon before moving I should start looking. are agents free or is there a fee?

Agents can help you find a rental and they normally get paid by the landlord. You may have a hard time finding an agent who can help you because the agent fee is very minimal. It may cover the cost of gas and not much more. If you are having a hard time finding someone you can help, let me know and I will do my best to connect you with an agent who can help! :)

Most agents are not able to work for free...often in my area, the first months' rent is split by the listing agent and the agent finding the buyer

Most agents representing tenants looking for rentals typically get paid by the owner of the home once an application is approved and the tenant begins their lease. I would suggest going onto this site, find a rental that interests you, and click on the local agent link for area who should be able to assist or refer you to another agent who specializes in rentals. Hope that helps!

Real estate agents have different prospective in this area! Some will do it for free just to network and exercise their skills in this area, and others will just refer you to someone else! Try the yellow pages in those areas and you can always find a fiduciary agency!

The fee is generally paid by the lessor not the lessee. There are some services that offer rental properties for a small fee to renters and are free to landlords.

The fee would be paid by the landlord, not the renter, so there would be no out-of-pocket charge to you. Unfortunately, I would not be able to personally help you, as I only do rentals in the east valley, but I wish you good luck in your new place!

The agent is paid by the owner of the home, but it is a minimal fee. Please when you are looking for rental homes take out the 3 you like the best, otherwise at this point the price of gas will exceed your Realtors fee. Best of luck.

Typically the agent is compensated by the landlord, so the prospective tenant who uses an agent to find a home does not pay a fee for that service. Let me know if we can help, that's what we do!
