You should be able to get a first indication by finding reviews on many of the existing customer sites like trulia, zillow, homes etc. I would then interview 2-3 that appear to be good (on paper). Make sure they have an easy out clause so that you can cancel anytime without any fees. The great agents will allow you to do that. I would also consider hiring a top performing team as they have not only the marketing funds to put your home on Radio, video and featured on all major websites, but also a team to immediately respond to inquiries that come in about your home.
