Short Sale means the owners on record are asking the lender to allow them to sell the house AND pay the lender LESS than the lender is owed... Is this is the case?
IF it is just abandoned, you need to wait till the lender takes over the title and puts the property up For Sale...There is no way to tell how long it will take for the lender to take over the title...

Yuna, The only way you will be able to purchase it is if the home is listed with
an agent. You can do a temprary connect as long as the bank that foreclosed on it has paid any unpaid utilities on it. If an agent has it then they are reinbursed by the bank for utilities and so forth. the selling agent is responsible for making it inspection worthy.
Make sure you get a knowledgeable inspector. You will have the home warranty in place for first year as well. If you need any more info just contact me. We do offer a loan we call a rehab loan and you can get up to 35k for repairs, still very low rates.
call an agent of a reputible agency
