Start with getting a great lender. Your bank, realtor or family ot friends can recommend one. This will be your guideline.

I would be happy to talk with you about house hunting, and help you find professionals. Many of my buyers have worked with wintrust mortgage and been very happy with the level of service, also Inland mortgage is good. you can contact me for more information or if you have questions. be sure to inquire with your lender if there are grant programs that you might qualify for downpayment assistance. Illinois housing development authority has grants for qualified buyers. check them out on the ihda web site

I recommend you ask your family, friends or Realtor for referrals on a lender that they used. Your lender will be able to give you the best advice on what loan programs are best for your situation.

There are many lenders that can help you qualify for a mortgage loan. Basically you will need money for your down payment, credit score of 640, and sufficient income to substantiate payment. Contact a local agent in your area, and they'll be happy to refer a mortgage lender to you.

FHA loans are government loans. Verify the lender you want to work with by checking out their credentials online. Contact a REALTOR in your area that you trust or someone you personally know and trust who has worked with the lender or REALTOR.
