If the property shows as a pre-foreclosure on a site such as Zillow it hasn't been foreclosed on yet. The current owners may be in default. The foreclosure process can actually take a year or more to finalize after the loan is in default, while the lender works with the owner. Once a property is foreclosed on, the bank doesn't always put the property for sale right away. Most foreclosure properties are in need of repairs also. Contact a Realtor in the area where you are interested for finding a home to get information on what is currently on the market.

The MLS has the most accurate information on homes for sale. A real estate agent can check the status for you.

It is best to work with a real estate Broker who will be able to help you with all the foreclosed homes for sale. If you like, contact me for more details?

Hi ZhiCai, most homes shown as foreclosures are not actually for sale, at least not yet. If you are interested in a particular property, your Realtor can find out the status and contact the owner or the foreclosing party. We serve Alhambra and the San Gabriel Valley. Call Annie at 626 226 7862, she speaks Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese). She would be happy to help you!
