In order to determine my capital gains tax obligation, I need an estimated fair market value on a property that I inherited in July of 2010 and sold

in June 2016. The property: 3716 Hillsboro Road, St. Matthews, 40207. Can someone help me determine the fair market value of the property in July 2010?

Yes, I can help you. It's a grey area with room for interpretation. Fortunately there are several data sources. Call me if you'd like me to look at that for you.

Do you know if there was an appraisal done to settle the estate in 2010? If not, contact me and we can look for similar homes that sold the summer of 2010.

You may want to contact your CPA, though a call to the Jefferson Sheriff's office might get you the taxable value of the home in 2010.

I would be happy to view your house to give you a fair market value whenever you are available. Judi Christopher, 502-296-5555 Gilezan Realty
