Whether it be for a new job, heading off to college or simply pursuing an idea to live in a dream location, people are always on the move. Have you ever thought about packing up your things and moving to a new city? Would that decision have been easier to make if you had an idea of what renting a home would cost in the new city? Homes.com and ForRent.com have created this infographic to help with that.

We’ve color coded each state to give an overall gauge on the affordability of the rental market in that locality. We’ve also provided additional details for several cities that range in cost. If you’re completely open to a new location and looking for a place with great food and where health and fitness is key, perhaps Austin, TX is the best city for you.
