Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Island Home

Tiger Woods has just completed work on his reported 10,000 square foot house on Jupiter Island, FL. What kind of features does the professional golfer’s impressive home offer? In addition to several pools on the property, Woods’ home has a rather large practice complex. Based on aerial photos, it appears the property has one tee box in the southeast east corner to hit drivers, the entire area just west of the lap pool can be used to hit long, medium and short irons into any of the 4 greens and each green is guarded by a single trap, except the green in the northwest corner which appears to have 3 pot bunkers (see below).

A great point brought up by writer Cary Lichtenstein, is that the placement of Woods’ home is so far back from the intracoastal. Typically, homeowners want to be very close to the water. However, by reversing the norm, Tiger is able to have his practice area close to the water. The design may be a good thing given the fact that Tiger is coming off his worst season as a professional golfer, failing to win a PGA Tour event for the first time since 1998. He may be out on the practice complex quite a bit to enjoy those water views!

Woods’ property isn’t the only grand home in the Jupiter, Florida area.
