I apologize for the lag in updates regarding my bathroom renovation! As with any renovation, things don’t always go as planned. Luckily we’re back on track….

There is no turning back! The walls have begun to transform as the wall paper and beat board are being removed. You would not believe the various kinds of wallpaper that were on our walls. There were two types of floral patterns, an aluminum foil pattern and of course the painted wall paper we put up! The hammering and drilling to bring up the tile is loud and dusty and the mallet used to destroy the vanity is making great strides toward reducing it to rubble…and I couldn’t be happier to see it all go!

It’s amazing how little time it takes to destroy things. In just a few short hours we were down to the drywall and concrete. It was a clean slate to start a new beginning.

Day one into the project and we are down one bathroom in the house! Tomorrow will be drywall repair as wallpaper, it turns out, is not friendly to drywall when applied on directly (just an FYI, if you want to drywall, apparently you should prime the wall first then apply! Good to know). Day three will be tile. I’m super pumped about seeing the fabulous tile we picked out showcased on the floors and walls.

P.S. Here are the fixtures we went with from my call for help!
