One of the best ways to create warmth and personality to a bare porch, is to add a fun, durable outdoor rug. From bright colors and trendy patterns to fun messages, door mats have come a long way.

A simple outdoor bench, stool or chair with a couple of coordinating pillows, is also a great way to convey an inviting feeling towards your house guests as they first approach your home. It can also be a good indicator for them as to what type of style to expect on the inside of your home as well.

Finishing touches like welcome plaques, interestingly potted plants, vinyl door decals, wreaths and other outdoor decor can help to add personality and charm to your front porch.
