Introducing the Logical Living Home and Homearama 2012
Homes.com is excited to introduce builder, Sam Cohen of Joey Corp and Jeff Bruzzesi, owner of Closet Factory to you. They have teamed up again to create the “The Logical Living Home.” The unique house will be featured in the 2012 spring Homearama in Culpepper Landing in Chesapeake, Virginia. Homearama is a 17 day home show that features some of the most prominent custom home builders in the Hampton Roads area.
The Tidewater Builders Association has been hosting the show for over 30 years, which makes it one of the longest running home shows (if not the longest running home show), in the country. It is also one of the most well attended shows in the country.
The partnership of Sam Cohen and Jeff Bruzzesi was forged last fall to create the Treasure Chest – The Organizational House. This was the first home in the show’s history planned around making life easier through thoughtful organization and boy what a hit! The house won the most awards given, including “Best in Show.”
Closet Factory’s vision for the function of this year’s home was simple. Design by experience. They first collected and shared the most common storage needs of the thousands of people they have built for over the past decade. They then looked at the most creative solutions their team has come up with to solve these needs. From the general inventory of clothing the average person has, to the clients who want to store boxes of old records. With all of their knowledge and experience they wanted to make the house serve the family needs in the most complete and “adjustable” way.
Designing by experience led them to plan for the family’s needs now and whatever the future needs might be. That’s the thought process that went into every room of the house.
“Life made easier through thoughtful organization and space planning.”
Homearama runs June 16th – July 1st. Stay tuned for sneak peeks into this year’s Logical Living home before it opens to the public. To all of our local readers who are interested in the show, click here for info on how you can visit these gorgeous and creatively designed homes.
