Sneak Peak of Logical Living Home

by Christine DemosJune 11, 2012

Last week we introduced you to the Logical Living Home that will be featured in the 2012 Spring Homearama taking place in Chesapeake, VA and as promised we’re bringing you a sneak peak of the home before it debuts to the public.

With five days to go before the show opens on June 16th and only two days to go before the judging of the home takes place, the home looks like an ant farm at any given time. It’s extremely impressive and exciting to see the daily progress. The house is going to be gorgeous!

Logical Living Home in Progress

For starters, the entryway foyer is open and airy due to the cathedral ceilings and the unobstructed view down the hallway and through the family room’s glass doors that open to the back porch and outdoor living area. The staircase leading to the second floor is extra wide and gives you a feeling of grace and elegance.

The entire left side of the home is all about the comforts of home. The dining room features generous and stunning cupboard space, a walk-in pantry, and butler’s pantry leading to the kitchen. The built in china cabinet is perfect. It doesn’t take away space from the room and offers a ton of storage.

The right side of the home features the ultimate “flex room” which could be used as an office, bedroom or TV den with its own full bathroom and closet. The master bedroom boasts a woodcraft focal wall, two walk-in closets and a master bathroom to die for. The downstairs is completed with a wonderfully functional laundry/mudroom with an appliance storage cabinet and locker/bench system.

The second story of this dream home has three bedrooms and a room for all things kids! How cool is this closet idea? It has drawers for clothes, space for shoes and a laundry basket underneath. There is also an area designed to keep gift wrapping supplies and a counter to actually wrap the gifts. What a concept!

Needless to say the designers of this home have thought of everything a homeowner could need to make life easier. We can’t wait to show you the completed home! To all of our local readers who are interested in the show, be sure to learn how you can visit these gorgeous and creatively designed homes.
