Like a Resort, But Without the Crowds: 151 Haggets Pond Road

Staycation, Here You Come

For most of us, taking a vacation means getting away from home. But the lucky buyer of this amazing home will have no need to purchase airfare to some faraway destination. You’ll see: this stunning mansion is a resort unto itself. Let’s take the tour and find out just how luxurious a weekend at home can be.

This one-of-a-kind residence was constructed in 1999, but it has a classic style that makes it feel like a luxury mansion of yesteryear. From the outside, it’s quite stately; a grand residence of stone and stucco, surrounded by old growth trees and overlooking gently rolling acres. There’s a putting green, and on the upper deck, a 10-person hot tub perfect for entertaining honored guests.

But while this home looks palatial from the outside, the exterior only hints at the wonders within.

There’s Never a Dull Moment in This Home

Let’s start with the basketball court. It’s a regulation-sized NCAA-approved court, lined with banners from top schools. The hardwoods sparkle and shine just like they do at the big game, and the breakaway hoops will withstand even the most ferocious slam-dunk – if you have the skills to pull it off.

Just beneath the basketball court (it’s on the second story), you’ll find one of the most stunning indoor pools you’ve ever seen in a private residence. It has a two-story waterslide – just the thing when you want to cool off after a heated game of 1-on-1, and an inviting hot tub perfect for soaking away post-workout burn.

And speaking of workouts, there’s also a well-appointed fitness room, complete with free-weights, exercise machines, and a big-screen television to help you pass the time while you’re keeping yourself in peak physical condition.

Whew! After all that exercise, you’ll probably need a break. After freshening up in one of your 9 spa-quality bathrooms, put on your best movie-going attire and catch the latest blockbuster in your very own theater. It may not be as big as the local multiplex, but it’s a lot classier, and the seats are certainly more luxurious.

Party Time!

Not feeling like watching a movie? Not to worry – there’s also a two-lane bowling alley, complete with electronic scoring, an automatic pinsetter, and a powered ball return that’ll have you bowling one strike after another.

After proving once and for all that you’re the best (or okayest) bowler in the neighborhood, invite your friends up to the club. With its hardwood bar, capacious dance floor, and wall-mounted televisions, it’s an ideal venue for a game night or dance party.

We’ve Just Scratched the Surface!

Clearly, the resort-style amenities make this house a real standout, but there’s more to this mansion than fun and games. We haven’t even discussed the elegance of the formal dining room, with its rich woodwork, expansive windows, and coffered ceilings.

We’ve not yet had the pleasure of preparing a meal in the stunning chef’s kitchen, of chopping fresh vegetables atop its generous onyx countertops or firing up its dual ranges.

We haven’t even had the opportunity to make our way up to the expansive master bedroom, to enjoy its panoramic views, to sleep beneath its cathedral ceilings, or to explore its walk-in closets.

There’s just too much here to see. If you want to experience the true grandeur of this unique luxury home, you’ll just have to buy it. And at $3.295 million, it might go rather quickly.
