This is your chance to own a piece of Gearhart history! The renowned Breakaway Lodge, offered for the first time since Young Life purchased it ~ fifty years ago. Until August 2018, it was used as a youth summer camp. It is set up to sleep 65-70 with eleven total sleeping rooms with bunk style beds. There are two communal bathrooms featuring multiple toilets, sinks and shower stalls and two private bathrooms. This would make a fantastic corporate retreat or family compound for generations to enjoy! Full basketball court, full-size sand volley ball court, octoball court, wrap around deck - all just two blocks from the beach and ocean. Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a property such as this on the Oregon Coast. This purchase includes tax lots 8000 and 8900 for 0.92 acres total.
The Arts and Crafts building was built as a retreat center by the Society of Sisters of Holy Names of Jesus and Mary from 1923-1924. They christened it "St. Margaret's by the Sea". It passed to the Episcopal Church in 1959 and the lodge was renamed "Scott Hall". Young Life acquired the building in 1969.
