Once called the "Lemon Capital of the World," Corona, California was settled during the citrus boom of the late 1800s. Being under an hour’s drive from Los Angeles gives Corona an upscale vibe. The population has grown leaps and bounds for the past 100 years, and is a great place for growing families, too. Homes with 3-5 bedrooms are easy to find, and many have unique coastal and southwestern architecture with lush, vibrant landscaping.

There is a lot of great architecture to see in California, and Corona is no exception. Hiram Kellogg, whose influence is seen throughout Orange County, designed its circle-and-grid layout. The perfectly circular Grand Boulevard loops around downtown, and it even hosted a famous street race in 1913. Just off the freeway is the Corona Heritage Park and Museum, a building with a southwestern look that can point you toward other historic points of interest in and near town. The nearby canyons and low mountains make for some great zip line adventures and a challenging golf course. A shooting range and raceway round out Corona's list of daytime activities. For some fun after the sun goes down, Corona boasts a variety of themed bars, from Irish pubs to Western saloons and everything in between.

There is no shortage of jobs and education in Corona. For children, there are 31 elementary schools, seven middle schools, and eight high schools. There are also more than 12 colleges and universities, including the Riverside campus of the highly ranked University of California. Top employers in the area are predominantly medical in nature, with Corona Regional Medical Center and Watson Pharmaceuticals in the top three. With abundant education and jobs, it’s no surprise that Corona is a prosperous city. Median household income in Corona is more than 20 percent higher than the national average, and fewer people live below the poverty line. After a long week of work or school, the Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa is a great place to relax. With star-studded Los Angeles nearby, you might catch sight of celebrities such as Travis Barker, Jodie Sweetin, and Kyle O'Campo, who all live in or near Corona. Everything you need is right within the city limits, and when you crave some Hollywood glitter, that's not too far away either. Corona's not just a great place to visit - it's a great place to call home.
