During the summertime, hot temperatures only happen on occasion. The favorable climate is one of the reasons residents choose to live in the area. People also like that Cypress is centrally located. The city is closer to Los Angeles, compared to other Orange County towns. It is also located nearby popular cities including Garden Grove, Buena Park, Los Alamitos, Anaheim, Seal Beach, and Long Beach. Every fourth Saturday in July, Cypress has a community festival. This festival celebrates the city’s birthday, and it is one of the largest events in Orange County. The festival is held at the Oak Knoll Park, which is a popular recreation facility for residents and guests. In addition to participating in this festival every year, town residents enjoy leisurely activities at the beaches in the area. Cypress’s proximity to the beach and beautiful home make it an appealing city for California homeowners.
