The city is home to a number of museums, like the Nauticus National Maritime Center which is popular with people of all ages. Norfolk is home to the Virginia Opera, the Virginia Symphony and the Virginia Stage Company. The city is well known for its annual Virginia Arts Festival, which features live music, theater and dancing. A trip downtown can include anything from eating at a local restaurant, shopping at a boutique, drinking at a coffeehouse or brewery, or visiting an urban winery. Norfolk also boasts a 53-acre zoological park. There are an incredible number of things to keep Norfolk’s residents busy all year long.
