Private House With Fireplace

Listed by Charlie Winfree

Beautiful 2BR (2 master suites) cabin on 9.2 acres within huge Nature Preserve. Flawless throughout... built by a builder for his own family in 2007. Wooded level acreage where the road ends, but the hiking trails begin. Very private, adjoining huge private nature preserve (The Preserve at New Creek Lake) that you own a share within with 40 others. 2300' elevation. Dark starry nights! All on one level, because none of us is getting any younger. Cozy Gas Fireplace in MBR, wood Fireplace in LR. 2nd MBR on main level. Hardwood floors, no carpet. Laundry room with Utility sink with stacked Washer-Dryer included. Heat pump for year-round comfort, plus ceiling fans throughout. Screen porch. 9+-acres of beautiful walkable woods... every inch usable. A 2nd-home and-or Garage are permitted. NO HUNTING at all, ever. NO ATVs in nature preserve... just miles and miles of hiking trails starting directly from your property. Allow time and I and my dogs will hike the Waterfall Trail with you when you visit! Public New Creek Lake adjoins The Preserve and is stocked with trout Spring and Fall for fishing and is said to have great Walleye if you use a boat. Small boats are permitted, but no gas motors. Year-round road maintenance and weekly trash collection included in POA fee. Very social community of 41 owners on 1000-acres. Property is in Grant County but uses a New Creek address and phone (Mineral County). Mapping may respond to 1301 Red Fox Rd in New Creek (its assigned address), or Mount Storm, or Maysville (use what works). Road was renamed as Red Fox 5 years ago but many maps may still show it as High Ridge Rd. Be sure to watch the 3D Tour. Note that the 3D Tour and some of the still photos use a very wide-angle lens and tend to make the rooms look larger. I tried to use a blend of photos to help with that. Room sizes are accurately posted in the listing. This home is 3000+ feet from power-producing windmill turbines, sited over the top of the ridge. Groceries, general shopping and (new) Hospital are available in Keyser, 12-14 miles outside the gate and Cumberland MD is 20-miles beyond that. For access from the DC area, the Rt 93 exit from Corridor H (Rt 48) is just 7-minutes from the entry gate. Warm-water Mt Storm Lake is just a 15-minute drive from The Preserve and offers swimming, diving and boating. 15-minutes beyond that (30-min from The Preserve) you'll find lots to do in the artsy-recreational towns of Davis and Thomas for snow skiing, biking, hiking, coffee shops, live music, fun eateries plus Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley State Parks. This place is worth a trip to see! Hint: This home is UNDERPRICED.
