Summer lingers for several weeks after Labor Day with cool mornings and nights the perfect weather for hosting the New Hampshire Highland Games, drawing thousands of people for the Scottish Festival. As the sights and sounds of the bright colored kilts and bag pipes drift away, it is a sure sign that fall is upon us. Route 112 also known as the Kancamagus Scenic Highway becomes home to a very special group of people known as "Leaf Peepers", they travel far and wide, from other states and countries to view the wonders of our fall foliage and not until the last leaf has fallen does the last "Leaf Peeper" leave our area with gifts and pictures in hand to share
