To start, find a veteran agent who is familiar with the process. Finding the right tenant can be a tricky task , but if you screen them appropriately it will save you much aggravation and money in the long run. If you want to go it alone, be sure to do a credit check and get references from previous landlords. A criminal background check is also a very good idea. To cover your interests you will want to be sure to ask for appropriate amount of deposits upfront. Craigs list and Zillow are a few options you can use. However, you will be marketing to a much broader audience if you use a real estate agent.
