You need to talk with a lender. You can start with the bank you currently use. They know you and your assets. If you don't have a bank ask a family member or someone you trust to suggest one. I suggest talking with more than one lender since some lenders focus on certain type loan. It sounds like you may be a first time buyer. Be sure to ask about all the different loans available for your situation.

Hi Angela! I own a mortgage brokerage in Herriman and will be happy to answer this question. What you need would depend on what you do for a living. If you are a W2 wage earner you would need your 2015 and 2016 W2's and also your Full Tax Returns (1040's). 30 days most recent paycheck stubs, Drivers License and proof of funds. If you are using a down payment from let's say a checking account we would need your two most recent full bank statements. Feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any other questions!
