How can I find a place within walking distance of the ocean?
Looking for an affordable house to rent in southern Florida preferably on the gulf. I'm a bartender so I'd love it to be near a tourist area, but the main goal is to be within blocks of the ocean. Naples isn't particularly necessary, but I had to put a specific location down. Thanks for your help.

I believe your best option would be to choose a REALTOR and have them run a MLS search for you. You can specify a price range, number of baths & bedrooms, etc.
Hi Ms Nichols! In Naples we aren't near the Ocean but we do have the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The Ocean borders the East coast of Florida and the Keys. They're are many guest houses connected to main homes in Olde Naples (blocks to the beach) and as we say in Naples, everything is within walking distance if you don't mind walking. Seriously, downtown is very expensive like everyone has mentioned in their emails to you. It also depends on where you are going to bartend. North Naples is less expensive than Olde Naples. If you have a bicycle you may want to consider biking to the beach, which many people do. Good luck in your search!

Oh, it looks like I missed answering some of your questions. I want to move in around November, I plan to come down in early October to look at whatever places I like online and make a decision.

Two bedrooms, and I would just like to be within 20 minutes of Naples and within a mile or two of the beach. I'm looking to spend up to 1200$ a month and would like to live there year round. I do have a standard poodle who will be close to 70 pounds once she is full grown. My biggest problem is I have found places that sound like they are close to the beach, but then I search for them on google maps and they look like they are nearly 20 minute drives from the beach. Also, on a side note, if anyone has any other location ideas, the reason I was thinking Naples is because it has a good tourist area and I'm a bartender, I need to be near a good bar scene (and even nearer to the beach). Thank you for your help.
Naples is an expensive area, lets look at some other areas that may better serve your needs.
Hi, Are you looking for something furnished or unfurnished. A few months or an annual rental. What price range? How many bedrooms and baths. Do you have any pets? I am able to help you but I would need to know more details.
Please define walking distance?
Define walking distance please.
In the Naples area, homes and condos that are close to the beach would be from the Vanderbilt Beach area south to Ole Naples. Also, you can search listings on Marco Island, too. There are many home rentals that are a few blocks from the beach.
How much do you want to spend....?
