Can I take out a second FHA if my co-borrower has not used FHA?

I currently own a duplex that I bought with an FHA loan. I am hoping to buy another duplex with my dad as a co-borrower. Since he has never taken out an FHA, can we use FHA for this property?

It doesn't work that way. FHA loans are used by people that typically have lower credit scores and higher debt load. It has nothing to do with having or not having used it before. Do you plan on living in this second home? Ron
