As a college student in the Midwest, Cheryl looked forward to her winter vacations to Colorado, during which she’d ski and soak in the area’s amazing natural beauty. After accepting a teaching and coaching position in Pueblo, she soon discovered this place was a natural match for everything she wanted in a hometown. And the rest is history.
 
Caring for Her Community
For over 40 years, Cheryl’s called Pueblo home and she’s actively involved in local organizations like the Chamber of Commerce and the United Way. Cheryl enjoys getting to know her neighbors and keeping in tune with what’s going on in town. She’s known around town for her dedication to the people of this community, as well as an avid nature lover and animal enthusiast.

 A Connection to Nature
At home, Cheryl enjoys raising animals, from dogs and cats to three horses to her koi fish in three ponds she constructed herself. She loves spending time in the sunshine and temperate Pueblo climate tending to her garden. And every year, Cheryl looks forward to the annual Colorado State Fair, where she volunteers as a judge for the junior livestock competition and has shown her own horses.
